Description
De gemeente heeft zich ten doel gesteld goed te zorgen voor de erfgoed en kunstcollecties en deze te behouden voor latere generaties. Hiervoor wil de gemeente een gebouw realiseren dat voldoet aan de huidige eisen voor het beheer van kunst en erfgoed en dat toekomstbestendig is. Al vanaf de eerste voorbereidingen van het project werkt de gemeente intensief samen met alle gebruikers van het depot en andere betrokkenen. Voor het ontwerp en de bouw heeft de gemeente eisen opgesteld op het gebied van duurzaamheid, circulariteit, en de exploitatie van het gebouw. Ook is bij de plannen goed gekeken naar de aanwezige ecologische groenstructuur, de stedelijke inpassing en de CO2 impact. Het depot is een gebouw met hoge klimaateisen. De collecties vragen om een goede beheersing van onder meer temperatuur en luchtvochtigheid. Dat vereist een integraal ontwerp én een goede uitvoering, met specifieke aandacht voor aansluitingen en bouwfysische eisen. Zie de aanbestedingsdocumenten.
