HigherGov is a well-built, modern US government contracting platform with a genuinely useful free tier - a much closer comparison than the enterprise incumbents. If you work only on US federal contracts, it is a strong tool and this page will not pretend otherwise.
Where ProcureFeed differs
- EU coverage. HigherGov is US-focused. ProcureFeed indexes TED alongside SAM.gov and USAspending, which matters if you bid in European markets or want to compare demand across both.
- One sector taxonomy across both markets. NAICS and CPV mapped onto shared sectors, so a filter works across jurisdictions rather than per-system.
- No account needed to browse. Every notice page is public and indexed; email is only required for alerts.
What HigherGov does that ProcureFeed does not
- Award and incumbent analytics. Who has won similar work, at what value, historically.
- Entity and contact data. Vendor profiles, contracting officer detail, teaming research.
- State and local coverage, and grants.
- Maturity. More data sources, more history, and a product that has been iterated with real users for years. ProcureFeed is new.
Who should use which
- HigherGov if you are US-only and want research depth: incumbents, award history, contact data.
- ProcureFeed if you need US and EU in one feed, or want a simple daily notification without adopting a research platform.
- Using both is entirely reasonable. They overlap less than the category suggests.
