Deel 1: Ontwerpstudie N33 Torhoutsesteenweg Oostende (vast gedeelte) De Torhoutsesteenweg (N33) is één van de belangrijkste invalswegen van Oostende en verbindt de stad met het hinterland richting Torhout. Ze kruist onder meer de Elisabethlaan (R31), een belangrijke ringweg rond Oostende, en loopt verder richting Leffinge en Gistel. Dit specifieke traject: ligt in een sterk verstedelijkte zone met baanwinkels en bedrijven vormt een overgang tussen stadsverkeer en uitgaand regionaal verkeer wordt gebruikt door alle vervoersmodi tegelijk (auto’s, vrachtwagens, bus, fietsers en voetgangers) De belangrijkste kernproblemen van de Torhoutsesteenweg zijn een hoge verkeersonveiligheid, een structurele verkeerscongestie, een overmaat aan in- en uitritten…
