Description
The objective of the procurement is to procure reagents and instruments for rapid, syndrome-based multiplex PCR diagnostics for spinal fluid (CNS), faeces (gastrointestinal) and airway samples. Multiplex panels provide quick and broad microbiological diagnostics and are especially useful in acute clinical situations where rapid diagnosis is important for further treatment and any isolation. The Department of Medical Microbiology delivers laboratory examinations within medical microbiology to the hospitals and the primary health service in Møre og Romsdal and has activities with sections at Sjukehuset Nordmøre and Romsdal (SNR) Hjelset and at Ålesund Hospital. The department works closely with clinical environments and provides both analysis services and professional advice for diagnostics, further review and treatment of infectious diseases.
