Description
Die Fachhochschule Aachen benötigt ab dem 01.01.2027 eine Glasfaserverbindung (zwei unbelichtete LWL-Doppelfasern) von Aachen nach Jülich. Die Forderung nach zwei unbelichteten LWL-Doppelfasern dient der Sicherstellung einer zukunftssicheren und flexiblen Nutzung der passiven Glasfaserinfrastruktur. Durch die Vorhaltung von zwei separaten Doppelfasern stehen neben der aktuell erforderlichen Übertragungsstrecke zusätzliche Fasern für Redundanz, Erweiterungen, alternative Übertragungswege oder zukünftige Anwendungen zur Verfügung. Die Ausführung mit zwei Doppelfasern reduziert zudem den Aufwand für spätere Nachrüstungen und erhöht die Betriebssicherheit, Erweiterbarkeit und langfristige Wirtschaftlichkeit der Infrastruktur.
