Der Kanton St.Gallen führt im Rahmen des Programms DRIVE die Microsoft Power Platform als Bestandteil seines digitalen Arbeitsplatzes ein. Die technische Plattform, die Betriebsorganisation sowie die grundlegenden Governance-, Architektur- und Sicherheitsvorgaben werden durch den Kanton St.Gallen und seine bestehenden Leistungserbringer bereitgestellt. Die Microsoft Power Platform steht den Organisationseinheiten des Kantons als standardisierte Plattform für die Digitalisierung und Automatisierung von Geschäftsprozessen zur Verfügung. Mit Microsoft Power Apps und Microsoft Power Automate sollen insbesondere Applikationen, digitale Formulare, Genehmigungs- und Workflow-Lösungen sowie weitere Prozessautomatisierungen realisiert und weiterentwickelt werden. Je nach Anwendungsfall können die in der kantonalen Microsoft-365-Umgebung freigegebenen Standard-Konnektoren eingesetzt werden.
