Dans le cadre du renouvellement et de l'adaptation des installations électriques de traction, SNCF Réseau conduit le programme AINM PCLE-MMM (Alimentation et Installations de Niveau Modernisé des Postes de Coupure à Liaisons d'Énergie — Melun Montereau Montargis). Ce programme s'inscrit dans la politique générale de modernisation des infrastructures ferroviaires menée par SNCF Réseau, visant à améliorer la fiabilité, la disponibilité et la performance des installations d'alimentation électrique de la traction ferroviaire. Le programme AINM PCLE-MMM porte sur la rénovation des sous-stations électriques (SST) et des postes moyenne puissance (PMP) alimentant les lignes ferroviaires du périmètre couvert par l'Établissement de l'Alimentation en Ligne (EALE) PCLE-MMM, comprenant les périmètres GT2 Villers et GT3 Melun.
