Description
Die Breitband Ostalb KAöR sowie die Städte und Gemeinden des Ostalbkreises errichten eine Glasfaserinfrastruktur zur Sicherstellung einer leistungsfähigen und zukunftsträchtigen Versorgung in Teilbereichen des Landkreises. Hierzu wurden Zuleitungsinfrastrukturen in das Versorgungsgebiet (Backbone-Netz) sowie durch die Städte und Gemeinden in innerörtliche Verteilnetze in ungenügend versorgten Bereichen des Landkreises hergestellt. Dieses neu geschaffene passive Gigabit-Netz (FTTB) soll einem privatwirtschaftlichen Netzbetreiber sukzessive als betriebsfertige Teilnetze zur Nutzung und Herstellung der aktiven Netzebene und der Versorgung mit hochbitratigen Breitbandanschlüssen gegen Entgelt überlassen werden.
